Et voilà, the fashion calendar has finally landed in its natural habitat: Paris. The undisputed capital of style, where couture heritage meets cutting-edge innovation, never fails to meet the sky-high expectations of the industry’s elite. After all, this is where fashion was born, where artistry, identity, and elegance intertwine.
While we’ve spotlighted standout houses individually (see our reports on Saint Laurent, Dior, Tom Ford, and Chanel), this time we turn our gaze to what truly matters chez Pretavoir: the sunglasses. From front-row icons to runway statements, eyewear took on its own narrative during Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026.

Alaïa, 4 March 2026
It marked Pieter Mulier’s final collection for Alaïa. A retrospective of his five years at the house, the show paid tribute to the atelier and the extended team whose photographs appeared as slideshow projections across the backdrop; a quiet acknowledgement of the hands behind the craft. The presentation opened with figure-hugging dresses, sweaters, and skirts (with pockets!) that felt grounded and thoughtful, almost aware of the sentimental tone the evening would take. At 9pm Paris time, the room was packed: seated guests in the front rows, standing audiences surrounding them, where camera phones lifted high throughout the show.

Then came the refrain. Airy dresses appeared with vertical croc-textured panels, shaping an armour-like front and back attached to fabrics that bounced with a fairy-like lightness. Tailored coats followed in swan-like flaring silhouettes, the dramatic exaggeration of the lower torso punctuating Pieter Mulier’s grand exit. There was something almost melodic in the rhythm of it all... a fitting swansong. For such a devoted farewell, the sentiment felt unanimous: Pieter Mulier was perfect, echoing the final words of Black Swan movie itself.
There was no eyewear on the runway, yet celebrities bidding farewell to this refined designer-house symbiosis arrived wearing some of Alaïa’s hottest frames even though it's dark outside.
Alicia Silverstone opted for black Alaïa AA0104S 001 trapezoid sunglasses from the New Cut collection for Spring 2026. Available for pre-order by contacting our team.

Prominent businesswoman Natasha Poonawalla chose black Alaïa AA0099S 001 rectangular sunglasses, also from the New Cut collection. Available for pre-order by contacting our team.
Chloé, 5 March 2026
A floating yet fleeting winter for Chloé. Of course, the Parisian house has never been known for heavy tailoring or structured coats anyway, as Chloé girls would much rather swap jackets for capes and shawls. It ticked every page of the bohemian playbook — lightness, balloon and trapeze silhouettes, mutton sleeves, front bibs, wake-up hair, and sunglasses. We were particularly excited to see sunglasses stood as the hero accessory of the presentation.
They appeared from the opening look and didn’t pause until look seven. The first six looks showcased metal sphere sunglasses in a variety of colours, and paired with that big, voluminous hair, the styling could easily give the professors of Hogwarts a glamorous makeover. A couple of metal shield frames appeared too; cool silhouettes that still felt romantic with lenses that avoided the sombre tones often associated with winter.

Marking her third year at the brand, Chemena Kamali infused Chloé’s heritage with a stronger sense of seduction this season. Off-the-shoulder silhouettes made notable cameos, whether on casual blouses or flowing tea gowns, while subtle peeks of skin appeared through sheer panels and delicate cut-outs. The romantic side unfolded through soft combinations of plaid and florals, lending the collection a folkloric charm. The collection may have been designed for the colder months, but as any Chloé admirer knows, the Chloé girl’s mind is always wandering somewhere she can dress entirely on her own terms.
Celebrities attending the presentation included:
Nina Dobrev, Swedish-British singer Mabel, and Oprah Winfrey arrived wearing the new Chloé Uma metal cat-eye sunglasses with brown gradient lenses. Contact our team to pre-order.

Supermodel Brooke Shields and Swedish singer-songwriter Neneh Cherry twinned in tortoiseshell Chloé CH0347S 005 visor sunglasses featuring brown gradient lenses.
If you thought the bohemian spirit of Isabel Marant had almost faded, replaced in recent years by a more athletic-infused DNA, think again. Streetwear remains present, of course, but the rock ’n’ roll attitude is very much alive. Leather was everywhere, joined by varsity jackets and snug bombers that make its young clienteles wish Spring Break had already arrived. Like a buffet of millennial parties from the early to mid 2010s, the styling felt stronger than each individual piece; even though many of them are perfectly wearable for high fashion.
Between sheer skirts (seen on Irina Shayk), leopard prints, and the occasional lamé dress tucked among primary-coloured sporty-luxe looks in red and blue, the collection reminded us that being Isabel Marant-clad is more than a fashion identity. There is no right or wrong interpretation here, this is dressing for fashion lovers who never settle.
Below are some celebrities attending in the house's stylish eyewear...
Singer and style maven Justine Skye wore the juicy Isabel Marant IM 0265/S C9BQT in yellow tortoiseshell, from our Spring 2026 drop.
Hong Kong actress Elva Ni demonstrated another new piece, the rectangular Isabel Marant IM 0258/S sunglasses in black with yellow lenses. While we currently stock the frame with grey lenses, you can pre-order for the exact colourway that Elva Ni wore by contacting our team.
French-Cameroonian rapper Yamê opted for the black version of the Isabel Marant IM 0265/S 807IR.
Italian rapper Ghali and social media personality Bach Buquen arrived in silver and yellow tortoiseshell (what a pairing!) Isabel Marant IM 0261/S aviators. Contact our team to pre-order.

Model and actress Erin Wasson was seen in another variation of the silver and yellow tortoiseshell Isabel Marant IM 0261/S featuring gradient lenses. Contact our team to pre-order.
Loewe, 6 March 2026
In case you didn’t know: Loewe is Spanish, not French, and that spirit was felt immediately. High-octane, pop and unapologetically punchy, the show moved with a bravery that contrasts the softer elegance often associated with Paris. To begin, a streak of lemon yellow quite literally underlined the runway, as Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the duo behind Proenza Schouler, delivered what already feels like their first major moment for the house. This was not a downbeat collection. It raced the heartbeat.

The clothes came fast and fearless: never-seen-before hood shapes, plaids scaled in both micro and macro proportions, bursts of unapologetic colour, shimmering men’s trousers, and sack dresses that moved with ease. Even the exploration of faux fur felt primitive in the most intriguing way, as if inspired by prehistoric clothing — yes, the Loewe tribe was clearly going hunting. Interestingly, the garments themselves did most of the talking this season. Accessories took a step back, aside from the ever-essential bags and shoes, including a subtle reinterpretation of the Loewe Amazona in a peeking form with only a single top handle (you might notice a familiar shape from one of its LVMH sister houses... we’ll leave that thought lingering).

Styling leaned into effort dressing, a bit here, a bit there; nothing overly rigid. The return of dress-over-leggings was certainly something to cheer for. Yet overall, the collection still carried the feeling of a torch being passed following Jonathan Anderson’s twelve-year tenure, a transition moment rather than a full departure. The one element tying everything together? Visor shield sunglasses. The version lined in red is particularly irresistible. Interestingly, while the wardrobe still feels like it’s finding its next rhythm, Loewe’s eyewear seems to have already settled into a clear direction under the new duo.
Let’s see the front row in Loewe’s latest eyewear:
Actress Sarah Pidgeon, who has recently been widely praised for her role as Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy in FX’s Love Story, attended the show wearing black and tortoiseshell Loewe Slim LW40177I 52E sunglasses.
Actress Julia Garner, recently appointed as a brand ambassador, record producer Metro Boomin, and rapper Lil Yachty, who arrived in the new “Loewe yellow”, wore black Loewe Slim LW40177I 01A frames.

Bryanboy was spotted wearing the new Loewe Metal Speed Shield sunglasses from the Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
You may know that Audrey Hepburn’s iconic dress in Breakfast at Tiffany’s was created by Hubert de Givenchy — a little black dress that looks perfectly timeless from the front, yet reveals its true breath when turned around. That same philosophy seemed to echo throughout Sarah Burton’s latest Givenchy presentation.
This was far beyond a soft, mild, or delicate collection. Each look carried drama from every angle; the kind that makes you pause and stare rather than simply turn your head as it passes by. It felt less like garments walking down a runway and more like a careful exploration of fabric and form, examining how clothing can decorate not just the body’s obvious silhouette but the often-overlooked parts: the wrist, the shoulders, even the back of the head. A handful of medieval saint-like headdresses appeared as well. like a carefully placed footnote that deepens the entire narrative.

Sarah Burton’s tailoring strength was unmistakable. Structured jackets were balanced with masterful draping, generous volumes, and asymmetry that felt deliberate rather than excessive. The presentation moved with a clear rhythm — easy to digest yet visually nourishing — building steadily before closing with what felt like the natural finale of such a journey: florals, brocades, and a quiet sense of romance. Only one eyewear silhouette appeared on the runway: rounded shield sunglasses, trimmed in either gold or silver, completing the looks with a modern edge.
Celebrity guests arriving in Givenchy’s latest eyewear included:
Elizabeth Olsen wearing black Givenchy City GV40129I 01A.
Tamara Kalinic wearing the tortoiseshell version of Givenchy City GV40129I 52W, featuring blue gradient lenses.
Model Calum Harper was seen in black Givenchy Day GV40137U 01N aviators.
Emma Thynn in the new Givenchy Cocoon round sunglasses.
Emma Brooks in sleek black Givenchy Bold sunglasses.
Celine, 7 March 2026
Both the Parisian heritage house and its creative director Michael Rider have roots in sportswear, yet this season Celine leaned in the opposite direction; clean, lean silhouettes with minimal styling for maximum impact. Far removed from athletic references, Rider’s third outing explored new territory for Celine womenswear, moving beyond the brand’s familiar maiden codes, while the menswear also stepped outside its cigarette-slim comfort zone. Tailoring grew noticeably stronger, giving the collection a sharper and more confident structure.

The parade itself felt calm and composed. Black dominated the palette, but a scattering of white accessories and several white-on-white looks softened the mood. Elsewhere came bursts of camel, shades of rose, oversized plaids, and leopard prints; both the classic version and quirkier interpretations dotted with multicoloured spots. Beautiful 3D appliqués appeared throughout, sometimes as delicate accents and sometimes covering an entire midi-length dress, perfectly suited for the work-to-cocktail crowd.
One detail that stole our attention was the awkward-length bootcut trousers; a silhouette so nonchalant you could imagine strolling through the city while casually showing off a favourite pair of socks. Interestingly, the official press photographs arrived deliberately grainy, giving the show a subtle attitude, as if to suggest these were timeless yet intentionally understated ensembles designed to slip effortlessly into everyday wardrobes.
The best part? Plenty of new eyewear made its appearance. Round, square, or butterfly-shaped; acetate or metal; light or dark lenses... Celine’s frames felt ready to satisfy every capsule wardrobe.
Celebrities attending the presentation in Celine’s latest eyewear included:
Actor Wang Anyu in all-black Celine Triomphe CL40335I 01A sunglasses, a new release from our Spring 2026 drop.
Supermodel Liya Kebede was seen in black Celine 3 Dots HD CL40326U 01E square sunglasses with brown lenses, also a brand-new release this spring.
Actress Bella Kim wore tortoiseshell Celine Triomphe CL40323U 53A sunglasses.
Naomi Watts arrived wearing the Celine Cat Eye S342, a new style for the Spring season.
Thai singer EarnEarn and French actor Corentin Fila were both spotted in the new Celine Metal Frame 28 round sunglasses. This style is the gem of Celine Spring 2026 campaign.
The show opened with a montage projected above a sun-drenched plateau, accompanied by the voice-over: “The forms of bodies could not be understood in detail, but through shadow — shadows created by light.” Black-on-black looks appeared first, followed by dresses in burnt orange and ochre, as the montage slowly shifted between what seemed like sunrise and sunset in an open wild. Maybe the presentation itself was a journey from dusk till dawn?

Creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli reportedly collaborated with Euphoria creator Sam Levinson for the collection. The result felt dark, yes, but undeniably hopeful, accompanied by a soundtrack so stirring it sent shivers down the spine. Piccioli introduced his own sensitivity to ideas of beauty, drawing clearer lines between womenswear and menswear, something that had long been blurred for the house. In that sense, Balenciaga seemed to be shifting; perhaps even returning to its origins. Fabric manipulation, sculptural shapes (especially collars), and dramatic drapes took centre stage, alongside eveningwear that has been noticeably absent from recent Balenciaga ready-to-wear runways. One recurring silhouette evoked Roman asymmetrical toga-like draping, sometimes punctuated with waist cut-outs, appearing in both short and floor-length forms. After all, founder Cristóbal Balenciaga, particularly during the 1950s, was famously described as the architect of couture. Bridging this heritage with the brand’s more recent identity, graphic elements and prints also appeared, carrying the show’s spirit of “mood”, “high”, and wilderness; perhaps more thoughtful than ever.

The eyewear felt comparatively restrained compared to the house’s previous seasons. Male models wore thin wraparound sunglasses, while female models appeared in crystallised slim frames. For accessories, however, Balenciaga maintained its gender-fluid philosophy; with pieces such as the reinvented Motorcycle and Papier bags transcending traditional categories.
Celebrities attending the show in Balenciaga eyewear included:
Brazilian-American television host Virginia Fonseca, who opted for gunmetal Balenciaga BB0484S 002 “Gossip D-Frame” sunglasses, fresh from our Spring 2026 drop.
Anna Dello Russo was seen in black Balenciaga BB0458S 001 “Sunset Rectangle” sunglasses.
Closing the seventh day of Paris Fashion Week, Alexander McQueen revisited one of its most recognisable signatures: the skull-patterned scarf. Just a season after creative director Seán McGirr revived the iconic Manta Bag, the house once again reached into its archives — this time with a symbol that has long defined McQueen’s rebellious elegance. Compared with other shows this season presenting upwards of sixty to eighty looks, McGirr’s fifth outing offered a concise 37, yet each piece carried the meticulous finish of demi-couture craftsmanship.

The Empire waistline made a notable return; a breezy silhouette fitted at the bust before falling freely towards the hem. In an era increasingly dominated by boxy and cocoon dressing, this felt like a forgotten proportion rediscovered. As the show progressed, the mood gradually shifted until the presentation began to resemble Un Ballo in Maschera transported to Paris. Hooded coats and embellished masks appeared, theatrical yet unmistakably McQueen, even without the harlequin. Tailoring, embroidery, sculptural volume and a touch of gothic romance anchored the spectacle.
Only one eyewear silhouette accompanied the runway looks: butterfly-shaped sunglasses adorned with embellishment, a familiar McQueen formula presented in black and transparent brown.
With the show beginning at 8pm, celebrity attendance in eyewear was relatively sparse. Still, we spotted Swedish actress Noomi Rapace wearing what appeared to be a new visor shield design from Alexander McQueen, expected to arrive this coming Autumn.

Miu Miu, 10 March 2026
Has Miuccia Prada taken up hiking, perhaps even camping? Miu Miu closed Paris Fashion Week with a collection that felt ready for adventure. Belted, double-breasted blazers opened the show, subtly tweaked with bow strings; at first glance they might have been mistaken for stern utilitarian workwear, but the fur-lined Highlander hats — which quickly stole the spotlight — made it clear this was an outdoorsy, adventure-chic proposition.

The runway itself appeared to be covered in grass, setting the tone for a collection rooted in exploration rather than urban polish. Fur-hemmed blazers followed, modelled by Chloë Sevigny among several notable public figures who walked the runway. A-line sack dresses came next, again accentuated with delicate bow strings, alongside supple leather ensembles that somehow avoided feeling heavy. Parkas appeared in abundance, reinforcing the alpine narrative. Yet this was still unmistakably Miu Miu; embellishment remained essential, with bejewelled touches scattered throughout the looks.

Miu Miu eyewear, as ever, delivered the final punctuation. Bold and experimental, the dominant shape was a cat-eye stretched wider into a near-rectangular silhouette, crafted in vibrant acetates and paired with equally colourful gradient lenses. Super-sized square frames also made a strong appearance this season — a shape that might feel retro elsewhere but, under the Miu Miu attitude, reads effortlessly cool. With a touch of menswear (including a runway appearance from TXT’s Yeonjun) the house’s growing male following suggests that Monsieurs in Miu Miu will soon join the adventure.
The celebrity guest list certainly embraced the eyewear moment.

This was the show. The Chanel show everyone had been waiting for. It marked the highly anticipated debut of Matthieu Blazy at the helm of one of France’s most storied maisons, and the runway did not disappoint except for the lack of eyewear-strutting looks. Wide shoulders made an immediate statement, followed by boxy tailoring and dropped hip lines that hinted at a bold reimagining of classic Chanel codes. The atmosphere was anything but minimal; an optimistic palette of ochre and bronze illuminated a futuristic set that felt both grounded and otherworldly.
Front-row guests brought their own eyewear allure to the occasion, each pair as expressive as the collection itself.

Pedro Pascal drew admiring glances in dark tortoiseshell Chanel 5551U square frames. Effortlessly magnetic, much like the man himself.

The White Lotus season three star Carrie Coon channelled timeless cool in grey Chanel 5549 sunglasses: a rare colourway and a true collector’s find.
Style twins Jyoti Babani and Snehal Babani mirrored each other perfectly in butterfly-shaped Chanel sunglasses from the brand’s archive.
Philanthropist Tara Dollinger exuded Parisian poise in black and white Chanel 5416 cat-eye sunglasses.

Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar styled the new Chanel 5553 C622/S8 with ease (beautiful chain detailing on the side temples by the way, AND it comes with detachable chain strap!) and all. Truly charismatic frames!

And finally, Jeff Bezos remained loyal to his signature Jacques Marie Mage Flynn aviators.

Marking a milestone season and teasing her Netflix series launching on 9 October, Victoria Beckham continues her reign of polished minimalism. Ever the master of controlled visibility, she gave us a preview of her upcoming eyewear collection while strolling through Paris: a quiet yet powerful flex. Expect the full range to arrive at Pretavoir in early 2026.
Balenciaga
Pierpaolo Piccioli’s debut for Balenciaga delivered a breathtaking reset. Less street, more sculptural couture. The collection paid homage to Cristóbal Balenciaga’s original architecture of elegance, reintroducing romance and structure in equal measure. Eyewear followed suit: experimental, modern, and meticulously crafted.
Anne Hathaway channelled new-era Balenciaga in BB0455S 004 round sunglasses from the Fall 2025 drop.

Liya Kebede exuded poise in black Balenciaga BB0446S 001 butterfly sunglasses.

The Balenciaga BB0007S in black Crew—FKA Twigs, actress Wang Ziwen, and tennis prodigy Arthur Fils—each brought their own edge to Pierpaolo’s refined vision.
PS: we stock this model in dark tortoiseshell with brown lenses, grab them fast!
The Chloé woman is a free-spirited wanderer. To call her bohemian would be an understatement, for this season she blooms through a floral Eden: sorbet lips, soft ruffles, and a newfound structure that replaces floatiness with quiet strength. The tricoloured gradient lenses Chloé made iconic a season ago did not return; instead, the spotlight shifted to sleek, Matrix-inspired metal cat-eyes that feel refreshingly modern (you might not even guess they’re Chloé).

Rita Ora debuted the Chloé CH0347S 001 shield sunglasses from our Fall 2026 drop.
Poppy Delevingne, Neneh Cherry, and Jean Campbell twinned in Chloe CH0348S 004 aviators with tricolour brown smoke gradient lenses.
The Verdict
Paris Fashion Week reminded us why it continues to reign as the ultimate stage for imagination and style. This season’s runways and front rows transformed eyewear into storytelling—each frame reflecting confidence, artistry, and individuality. From Loewe’s expressive shields to Givenchy’s sculptural cat-eyes and Balenciaga’s architectural glamour, sunglasses became the true punctuation marks of Parisian fashion.
