Ask anyone, regardless of their level of fashion knowledge, to name the most luxurious British brand, or simply the most British luxury brand, and one name is bound to top the list: Burberry.
Closing out London Fashion Week on 21 September, the house presented its eighth collection under the helm of Daniel Lee, taking a softer and more playful direction from the rigid, polished and darker mood of the previous Fall/Winter season.
Name any neutral colour and you will likely find it represented in this collection, yet the pieces were surprisingly easy to tie together into incredibly proper daytime dressing. Sorbet shades, contrasting embroideries and botanical motifs, created in partnership with legendary British textile designer Celia Birtwell, brought a distinctly garden inspired feel to the collection. The house’s iconic check was playfully distorted into softer gingham, while one of the biggest highlights saw rapper Central Cee make his runway debut. Could this be a hint of a future campaign appearance? We’ll see.
We were thrilled by the number of sunglasses presented throughout the show. Only one silhouette: plumped and pillowed frame, a shape that has become increasingly popular in recent seasons, appearing in tortoise and a variety of transparent shades. The jackpot? Most of the lenses came finished with Burberry’s signature check. About time!

London Fashion Week is the bridge — no pun intended — connecting the transatlantic New York schedule to Europe’s Milan and Paris calendar. For decades, it has been the decadent home of rebellion, street expression, international talent, attitude, and flair that could only ever be born in London, or by those who are Londoners at heart.
No British heritage house is more synonymous with this spirit than Burberry. Closing London Fashion Week with a theatrical flourish, the brand unveiled a striking runway set anchored by a replica of Tower Bridge. Creative Director Daniel Lee described the collection as an ode to the house’s iconic trench coat; a trusted companion in London’s famously wet and moody climate. This season felt mature and intelligent, romanticising military codes long embedded in Burberry’s DNA. Navy dominated, reinforcing the house’s sharpened modern identity. Romeo Beckham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were among the models commanding the runway.
Eyewear, however, was the true scene-stealer. Gradient lenses reigned supreme for the colder months, paired with curved acetate, mask-like silhouettes in black, green-grey, and mocha brown... monochrome, but never monotone.
