Haider Ackermann & Tom Ford Eyewear at Paris Fashion Week

Haider Ackermann & Tom Ford Eyewear at Paris Fashion Week

If there’s one thing more anticipated than a debut, it’s a triumphant sequel.
As the first high-profile creative director appointed after the step-down of Mister Tom Ford himself, Haider Ackermann has settled into the helm with remarkable confidence. His vision honours Ford’s legacy of glamour and sensuality, while infusing the house with his own mastery of drape, tailoring, and bold artistry, proving this partnership is not just a passing chapter, but a new era in the making.

The Spring Summer 26 show opened in true drama: Vittoria Ceretti in a cap-sleeved, bias-cut lapis-blue gown that curved elegantly around the torso before revealing a daring cut-out back. Sublimely cheeky, yet innately classy - only artisans versed in Tom Ford’s DNA could deliver such precision seduction.

The collection unfolded into looser, boxy gowns designed to reveal glimpses of skin in movement. Dominated by black, the palette was punctuated by jewel tones, sharp and refreshing, like a burst of colour at the centre of a popsicle - an unexpected delight for a Spring/Summer season. Mariacarla Boscono and Mona Tougaard lent their presence to the runway, while menswear-inspired tailoring was softened by Ackermann’s unmistakable drape: asymmetrical falls, tonal shawls, and sculptural suiting.

Of course, it would not be Tom Ford without an exploration of decadent fabrics. Embossed textures evoking animal prints, studded silks, and buttery suede gave the collection its rich, tactile energy. This is a wardrobe reserved for those who play with power, and understand the game of allure. (Images source: PAUSE Magazine)

Star-Studded Sightings in New Season Tom Ford Eyewear

We love Tom Ford. We love reporting Fashion Week. Put the two together and the result is sheer joy. At this show, two distinct sunglasses divided the front row into camps: the timeless Tom Ford Mikel TF1085 in black, and a striking new model - Tom Ford Penn TF1362, with its curved nose bridge.

Kylie Jenner and Liya Kebede, who resisted both choices, instead debuting the upcoming Tom Ford Iggy FT1364 01A round sunglasses. This model reimagines the classic oval frame with sophisticated geometric lines, adding bold thickness and sculptural volume. It’s available in timeless hues and rich Havana tones, paired with contrasting colored lenses for a striking finish.

And as always, the eyewear stole a moment of its own - sleek, confident, and brimming with allure.

Revisiting Haider Ackermann’s Tom Ford Debut - March 2025

Paris Fashion Week in March 2025 was a spectacle of reinvention, and nowhere was this more evident than in Haider Ackermann’s highly anticipated debut for Tom Ford. As the newly appointed creative director, Ackermann led the brand into a bold new era - one that blended his signature sharp tailoring with Ford’s trademark sultry glamour. His Fall/Winter 2025 collection stunned audiences with sleek power suits, luxurious silks, and a colour palette that ranged from muted neutrals to electrifying neon. The collection exuded a Studio 54-meets-’80s Wall Street aesthetic, featuring strong shoulders, cinched waists, and fluid eveningwear that embraced both power and sensuality.

Ackermann’s tailoring prowess was showcased through sharply cut double-breasted blazers, elongated silhouettes, and sculpted outerwear that created a commanding presence on the runway. The eveningwear channeled effortless opulence, with draped gowns in shimmering fabrics and daring thigh-high slits. Metallics and rich textures added depth to the looks, while plunging necklines and structured corsetry balanced softness with strength. The interplay between masculine and feminine elements underscored Ackermann’s mastery of contrast - a quality that aligned seamlessly with Tom Ford’s legacy of power dressing.

The beauty and styling choices further amplified the collection’s mood. Models walked the runway with pastel-hued eyeshadow, glossy dark lips, and sleek, structured hairstyles, paying homage to old Hollywood glamour while maintaining a distinctly modern edge. The attention to detail - from fabric choices to accessories - highlighted Ackermann’s meticulous craftsmanship and his ability to merge elegance with an avant-garde spirit.

A Fresh Vision: Haider Ackermann’s Influence on Tom Ford Eyewear

Eyewear has always been a cornerstone of the Tom Ford brand. The oversized frames, vintage-inspired silhouettes, and effortlessly cool aesthetic have made Tom Ford glasses a must-have for fashion enthusiasts and celebrities alike. Under Ackermann’s direction, the eyewear showcased on the Paris runway remained true to its timeless appeal while embracing a fresh edge.

The collection featured statement shades that perfectly complemented the sophisticated, ‘80s Wall Street-meets-Studio 54 vibe of the clothing. Think ultra-dark lenses paired with sculptural, angular frames - bold, mysterious, and effortlessly chic. Ackermann’s take on the Tom Ford aesthetic is not just about refinement; it’s about attitude. The eyewear embodied this ethos, offering a glimpse into the confidence and charisma that define the brand’s new era.

Unsurprisingly, tinted lenses played a prominent role on the runway, adding an air of mystery and sensuality to the looks. Shades in smoky hues, warm ambers, and soft pinks elevated the eyewear beyond a mere accessory, integrating seamlessly into the overall styling. This subtle yet impactful detail reinforced Tom Ford's reputation for blending function with fashion, proving once again that eyewear is not just about vision - it’s about making a statement.

A Star-Studded Event

The significance of Ackermann’s debut was reflected not only in the collection but also in the high-profile guests who attended the show. Fashion icons, industry leaders, and celebrities filled the front row, including none other than Tom Ford himself. The brand’s legendary founder observed the collection with a knowing appreciation, a testament to his continued influence on the house that bears his name.
