CHANEL Show and Celebrity Eyewear at Paris Fashion Week

"Clothes with ease," that was always how Mademoiselle Coco Chanel envisioned both her house and her clientele. Creative director Matthieu Blazy understood the assignment. The result was a collection that felt liberated, quietly confident, and almost modest without ever appearing prudish. It may have been presented as a Fall/Winter collection, but Chanel knows its admirers extend well beyond four-seasoned countries; particularly across the Southern Hemisphere too, where year-round chic is essential.

The Grand Palais itself underwent a transformation far removed from classic Parisian elegance. Construction cranes painted in bold primary colours; striking blue, yellow, red, and flashes of green — towered above the runway, creating a vivid industrial tableau that seemed to spark a palette trend echoed across other Paris Fashion Week shows. Against this darker, industrial backdrop, the wardrobe and accessories stood out with clarity. Compared with Blazy’s spherical debut set, which some felt distracted from the clothes themselves, this setting placed the focus exactly where it belonged.

Around ten minutes into the show, the opening of Lady Gaga’s Just Dance marched through the venue; an unapologetic moment that felt like a mic drop for the season. Then emerged the silhouette shaping Blazy’s vision: the dropped waist. Chanel girls wore their belts slung low, dipping below the hips and falling towards mid-thigh. Certain looks nodded to Paul Poiret’s hobble skirts, gathered below the knee, while much of the collection evoked the spirit of the roaring twenties — perhaps nostalgia, perhaps Blazy’s projection of Chanel’s future. For those who felt his debut collection was somewhat safe, this outing delivered flourish: splashes of colour, intricate embroideries, and feathered embellishments beyond the house’s signature tweed, leaving many to wonder whether the couture pieces had escaped and presented early.

The final flourish came in the accessories, where Chanel proved once again that its finishing touches often command the loudest applause. A striking new silhouette of ultra-thin sunglasses serenaded; so minimal in design yet so commanding in presence that they felt destined to stop people in their tracks. Function aside, the impact was unmistakable, reinforcing how Chanel eyewear, much like its bags and jewellery, exists in a category of its own.

Naturally, the celebrity front row reflected the house’s enduring influence.

Lori Harvey arrived wearing gold CHANEL 4295 C468/2 rectangular sunglasses with refreshing olive lenses.

Oprah Winfrey, now something of a Paris Fashion Week regular, looked radiant in tortoiseshell CHANEL 5556U 1827/S9 frames.

Teyana Taylor and Olivia Dean attended twinning in the new CHANEL CH5565 cat-eye sunglasses with logo lettering, a style already drawing attention among fashion insiders.

 Chanel Métiers d’Art Show 2026

Chanel’s annual Métiers d’Art show remains one of fashion’s most revered traditions; a celebration dedicated to the extraordinary craft of the maison’s artisanal ateliers, from Lesage embroidery to Goossens metalwork and Lemarié feathers. Unlike the usual transitional collections on the fashion-week calendar, Métiers d’Art stands apart as a poetic homage to savoir-faire, fusing heritage with innovation in spectacular, location-led storytelling.

This year marked Matthieu Blazy’s first Métiers d’Art since his acclaimed Spring/Summer 2026 debut, and he chose to transport the house into a new era by staging the show beneath New York City in an actual subway station. The set buzzed with urban electricity, blending grit and grandeur in a way that felt unmistakably modern Chanel. And, quite naturally, celebrities arrived in looks that defined the maison’s next chapter, complete with sunglasses we adore.

This landmark show also broke major news: Chanel has appointed A$AP Rocky as its newest male ambassador, following in the footsteps of Timothée Chalamet and Pharrell Williams. He attended in a jade tweed jacket and a pair of Ray-Ban Mega Clubmaster RB 0316S 6826/J5 from Ray-Ban’s Blacked Out Collection.

Longtime ambassador and monochrome maestro Wang Yibo wore black CHANEL 5509 C622/T8 sunglasses with gold chain accents.

The ever-theatrical Christine Baranski stunned in black CHANEL 5554 C622/T8, the gold double-C detailing glinting beautifully.

Honey Dijon paired her brown micro plaid jacket (complemented her locks beautifully!) with black CHANEL 5556U C622/S4, our latest Winter 2025 drop.

Jessie Buckley, very much in character with her tousled pixie cut, chose black acetate and tweed CHANEL 5514 C622/S6.

Chanel's exclusive eyewear also made its presence known.

Ambassador G-Dragon arrived in CHANEL 9184.

Lupita Nyong’o. She was also spotted the day prior in CHANEL 5511 C622/S8 round sunglasses with chain detailing.

Whitney Peak wore grailed CHANEL 9188 shields.

WNBA queen Angel Reese chose CHANEL 9164 cat-eyes.

Teyana Taylor teased a pair of Chanel's Exclusive sunglasses with pin-like temple detailing.

Alek Wek opted for CHANEL 9185, a wider, sleeker take on G-Dragon’s frame.

Chanel’s Métiers d’Art continues to weave together the house’s storied heritage with its ever-evolving vision, celebrating exceptional craftsmanship while quietly steering the style vocabulary of the future. True to the maison’s spirit, its eyewear reflects this enduring beauty... pieces that feel modern yet unmistakably iconic, designed to be worn, loved and handed down with effortless grace.

Chanel Resort 2026 Singapore Show

The peak of Autumn ended in spectacular style with the Chanel Resort 2026 show, held at the historic Raffles Hotel Singapore on 5 November, where the maison’s muses and ambassadors brought a new definition of inter-changeable season elegance.

Tilda Swinton wore two elegant looks: a gold tweed jacket for the evening and a white Cubano shirt for the short social media campaign, accompanied by black CHANEL 5417 1794/S8 sunglasses with radiant red piping (a blink-and-you-miss-it moment).

Thai-British actress Rebecca Patricia Armstrong debuted a black-and-white piece from the upcoming collection in the social media campaign, and for the show, she oozed ease while embracing signature pearl detailing on her jacket and chain detailing on her CHANEL 5515 C622/48 sunglasses.

Supermodel Liu Wen opted for the sophisticated CHANEL 5509 C622/T8 square sunglasses, also adorned with the maison’s signature chain.

RAYE, ever the soulful muse, wore CHANEL 5416 1794/S8 cat-eye sunglasses in black and red. Bold yet unmistakably elegant.

Thai actress Aokbab Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying (an ambassador of the house who also walked the runway!) debuted butterfly-shaped sunglasses featuring a mother-of-pearl logo detail from the Resort 2026 collection, available exclusively at Chanel.

Taiwanese-American actress An Hsu graced us elegantly in black CHANEL 5540 C888/S4 sunglasses, leaving us longing for a closer look at the beautiful studded detailing along the top of the frame.

Chanel’s fashion shows have long stood as a testament to the maison’s unparalleled ability to blend heritage with forward-thinking creativity; each collection a dialogue between past elegance, present craftsmanship and the future of style.

Whether staged in a grand palace, a transformed city landmark or, as Métiers d’Art 2026 proved, deep beneath New York’s streets, Chanel continues to reimagine its world with cinematic grandeur and emotional resonance. And at the heart of this storytelling sits the house’s iconic eyewear: pieces that transcend trends, elevate every silhouette and remain timeless companions to be treasured season after season.
