Culter & Gross' New Collection: Enter The Haçienda

The Haçienda Spring Summer 2023 eyewear collection is inspired by the iconic nightclub that changed Britain. The collection features a range of eyewear styles that reference the music, fashion, and culture of the Haçienda era. The iconic nightclub that thrived in the late 80s/early 90s era was more than just a prosperous music venue; it is a location that reshaped the UK's music scene and an iconic setting that, although no longer in operation, still has a heavy influence on the modern day fashion industry. 

The fashion within the UK rave scene during this era was characterised by bright colours and eclectic styles. Accessories were an important part of rave fashion - especially sunglasses. Some of the most popular designs included bug eye frames, statement wraparounds, and optical styles - all of which are featured in the Haçienda Cutler & Gross SS23 collection. These frames, reminiscent of the 1980s and 1990s, are made from high-quality acetate and feature bold colours alongside statement-making exaggerated shapes.
