The Devil Wears Prada 2 Glasses & Sunglasses
It’s been twenty years since The Devil Wears Prada, a must-watch film for every fashion devotee, first premiered. Adapted from Lauren Weisberger’s best-selling novel, itself inspired by her real-life experience within the fashion industry, the story has long been associated with the world of Anna Wintour, the former editor-in-chief of Vogue who now serves as Global Editorial Director at Condé Nast.
With countless memes (“Are you wearing the Chanel boots?”), unforgettable lines (“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.”), and the endlessly dissected cerulean monologue, the film has shaped pop culture in a way few fashion titles ever have — and remains just as relevant today.
So iconic, in fact, that when news broke in 2024 that a sequel was in development, the fashion world collectively paused. The reunion of Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt onstage at the SAG Awards 2024 that February only intensified the anticipation. Alongside Miranda Priestly, Andy Sachs, and Emily Charlton, Stanley Tucci returns as Nigel, with new additions including Lucy Liu, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, and B.J. Novak — plus cameos from the likes of Lady Gaga, Donatella Versace, and Ciara.
Principal photography began in July 2025, instantly drawing global attention. From that moment, The Devil Wears Prada 2 became a magnet not only for paparazzi but for fashion watchers alike. Naturally, Pretavoir has been following closely, capturing every eyewear moment spotted on set, throughout international fashion weeks, and across the film’s extensive promotional tour.
Let’s break down every eyewear moment!

September 2025 - Milan Fashion Week

Meryl Streep broke the internet by attending the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2026 fashion show in the guise of Miranda Priestly, wearing the exact beige Tiffany & Co TF4238U sunglasses she sported during The Devil Wears Prada 2 New York filming in July 2025, perfectly matching Miranda’s signature ice-blonde look.
Meryl’s appearance wouldn’t have been complete without Stanley Tucci by her side, wearing the exact Tom Ford Private Collection TF1129-P 64L he sported during filming in New York as well.
March 2025 - Promotional Tour
The Devil Wears Prada 2 promotional tour has officially begun. April 2025 - Promotional Tour and Premieres
Meryl Streep visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on 1 April wearing striped blue Tiffany & Co TF2271 8432 optical glasses, perfectly matched to her sweater that is not just blue, it's not turquoise, it's not lapis, it's actually cerulean.

Earlier that day in New York City, Meryl Streep was also seen arriving in Manuela cat-eye sunglasses from Lapima, offering a more sculptural, statement contrast to her studio look.
Meryl Streep embodied Miranda Priestly at The Devil Wears Prada 2 red carpet event in Tokyo on 6 April, complete with signature sunglasses. She opted for the CHANEL 5555 C622/T8 frame in black for the occasion, and it couldn’t have been more fitting.

This week, the internet was treated to Vogue announcing both Anna Wintour and—Miranda Priestly, oops—we mean Meryl Streep, as the cover stars of their May 2026 issue, perfectly timed for the release of The Devil Wears Prada 2 (could the promotion be any smarter?). Without any doubt, Anna was wearing vintage Chanel sunglasses here, yet we’ve still not been able to identify what Meryl wore.

On 7 April, Vogue released a short video on YouTube featuring the two in conversation, exchanging subtle praise in a way that feels rare for such commanding personalities. In the clip, Meryl Streep wore Prada PR C04S 16K08Z rounded cat-eye sunglasses in black, effortlessly channelling the very title of the film itself.
Following the Tokyo event earlier in April, Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway attended The Devil Wears Prada 2 Seoul premiere and press conference on 8 April. During the event, we spotted Meryl wearing Oliver Peoples Lerrue OV5615SU 1817/GN cat-eye sunglasses (a new, hot release for Spring 2026!) in dark burgundy with brown polarised lenses.
The Shanghai premiere marked the final stop of The Devil Wears Prada 2 promotional tour in Asia. For the occasion, Meryl Streep wore Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, completed with the house’s celebrity-favourite Saint Laurent Sun SL 901 HOWL 001 pillowed sunglasses in black.
We finally get the chance to see Anne Hathaway in a couple of fresh eyewear looks after rounds of film promotions where it was her co-star Meryl Streep taking the sunglasses spotlight.

On her way to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in New York City, Anne Hathaway wore Oliver Peoples OV5625SU wraparound sunglasses in black.

Later in the week, Anne Hathaway stepped out in black Bvlgari B.Zero1 BV40015I square sunglasses.

Later, she stepped out in a burgundy cat-eye frame with red gradient lenses from Emmanuelle Khanh that she had previously worn in Mexico City.
Towards the end of the week, Meryl Streep returned to embrace Prada, opting for the sophisticated PR A09S 1AB5S0 sunglasses on top of her gorgeous polka dot green coat.

After an extensive round of international promotions led by Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, The Devil Wears Prada 2 finally held its world premiere in New York City on 20 April with a fuller cast in attendance. The European premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 was held in London on 22 April. Meryl Streep returned to wear one of her favourite frames, the Prada PR A09S 1AB5S0 cat-eye sunglasses in black.

The evening après the European premiere, a gala dubbed A Night With Runway was held at The National Gallery in London, celebrating the film’s fashion-world setting centred around the fictional Runway magazine. Meryl Streep opted for black Cherry cat-eye sunglasses from Emmanuelle Khanh for the occasion.

The morning after the European premiere, on 23 April, we spotted Anne Hathaway arriving at BBC Radio 2 in London wearing Bvlgari Serpenti Viper BV40031I cat-eye sunglasses, featuring the house’s iconic serpent-shaped temples.
