Best Celebrity Sunglasses at the BET Awards 2026
The BET Awards returned to Los Angeles on 28 June 2026, once again transforming the Peacock Theater into the epicentre of Black excellence in entertainment. Celebrating outstanding achievements across music, film, television and sport, this year's ceremony welcomed comedian and media personality Druski as host for the very first time.
Leading the nominations was Cardi B with six, closely followed by Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist with five apiece. The evening also introduced four brand-new honours, including the Fashion Vanguard Award and Icon of the Year, both presented to Teyana Taylor, while Druski received the inaugural Pulse Award and Lauryn Hill was honoured with BET's first Living Legend Icon Award. Winners included Cardi B as Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Leon Thomas III as Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, and Olivia Dean as Best New Artist. Performances from Doja Cat, Nas, T.I., Rick Ross, French Montana, and many more ensured the celebration matched the calibre of its honourees.
