Gucci Cruise 2027: Celebrity Sunglasses Highlights

Gucci Cruise 2027: Celebrity Sunglasses Highlights

Not every Italian fashion house inserts a Cruise or Resort collection into its showcasing calendar. Most prefer to go all-out during Milan Fashion Week, but Gucci has never been an ordinary Italian brand. The flagship name of both Italian luxury and the Kering empire has long operated on the same cultural level as its French counterparts and, when it comes to staging a presentation, Gucci rarely does anything quietly.

Marking Demna Gvasalia’s fourth major collection for the House, the Creative Director transformed the bustling Times Square of New York City into his runway. The setting may have been far from conventionally glamorous, but the collection carried Gucci’s unmistakable glamazon DNA, now sharpened with Demna’s new direction.

Dubbed “GucciCore”, the collection distilled the essence of Gucci into a wearable visual language inspired by the many personalities of New York — from Madison Avenue to Brooklyn, SoHo to Harlem, and Fifth Avenue. Demna focused on building a permanent core wardrobe of Gucci staples: precise trench coats, strong business tailoring, elegant pencil skirts, crisp shirting, and refined outerwear infused with touches of Italian glamour, including the renowned Gucci Flora prints. The casting reflected the city itself, with walking mannequins including Paris Hilton, Cindy Crawford, Tom Brady, Candice Swanepoel, and Amelia Gray Hamlin alongside some of fashion’s biggest runway names of the moment.

The eyewear seen throughout Gucci Cruise 2027 show felt particularly refreshing... and very New York! Thin acetate wraparound sunglasses featuring the updated interlocking GG logo dominated the runway, alongside rimless metal wraparounds fitted with brave, bold, colourful lenses in striking reds, greens, and blues.

And of course, the star-studded front row arrived dressed head-to-toe in Gucci’s latest collection and eyewear we already love.

Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, and Thai actress Davika Hoorne all wore the new Gucci GG2271S shield sunglasses, first debuted during the Fall/Winter 2026 show and recently spotted on Demi Moore at Cannes Film Festival. The style is expected to arrive at Pretavoir in Autumn.

Mariah Carey also attended, wearing a new pair of Gucci sunglasses yet to be identified.

Meanwhile, supermodel Iman opted for a different unreleased Gucci eyewear style of her own, in a butterfly shape, which we are equally eager to identify — so stay tuned!

Fall/Winter 2026

All eyes were on Demna Gvasalia’s debut for Gucci this season; and the timing felt appropriate, arriving just one season behind the wave of creative director shake-ups for Spring/Summer 2026.

Those who lived through the early 2000s fashion would say: Tom Ford. Slinky. Tight. Glittering textures. T-shirts, leggings, dresses fitting like a second skin. Cut-out trousers. The return of the GG thong peeking beneath a backless gown was revived by no other than Kate Moss herself. Wardrobe aside, even the model lineup and grooming supported the big idea. Have you seen the “Bebot” trend on TikTok? Exactly. After Alessandro Michele’s wanderlust and Sabato De Sarno’s demure, the new Gucci girl is back to being a baddie.

As a mega-brand, it’s no surprise Gucci offers a wide range of assortments each season to cater to every customer archetype; and the new eyewear was no exception. Rather than pushing a singular trend, Demna delivered every imaginable frame, yet still passable enough to breathe the Gucci air. Shields with colourful lenses? Present. Maximalist butterfly-shaped acetate? Also present. A standout, however, was the merger of a rectangular silhouette with a sharp, pointy cat-eye edge; shall we call it a bat-eye? Does that ring a bell? It’s Demna, after all, the man who reshaped Balenciaga.

With a handful of celebrity-clad models walking the runway — from Emily Ratajkowski and Amelia Gray Hamlin to supermodels Karlie Kloss, Elsa Hosk, and Alex Consani — the front row shone no less brightly.

Paris Hilton wore two versions of Gucci GG1834S; first in monogrammed transparent grey for the show (in-stock), later switching to a crystallised monogram edition for the post-show dinner. The latter colourway is available for pre-order by contacting our team.

Sister style, Nicky Hilton also doubled up. She wore pink Gucci GG1691S 003 to the show, then changed into black and silver Gucci GG1970SA with crystal-studded details, available for pre-order by contacting our team (we currently stock the style in black and gold with pearl details).

Georgina Rodriguez, once a sales associate for the Italian house, went full diamond bling, pairing her look with silver Gucci GG1221S 008 sunglasses with brown lenses.

Tamara Kalinic chose gold Gucci GG1936S 003 shield sunglasses with brown lenses and crystallised Gucci logo lettering.

One of fashion blogging’s pioneers, Tamu McPherson, attended the show wearing a Gucci Flora silk ensemble paired with black Gucci GG2170S 001 sunglasses from the Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

Alia Bhatt and Bryanboy wore the much-talked-about Gucci GG2174S shields from Spring/Summer 2026, featuring silver horsebit details. Contact our team to pre-order.

Laura Harrier opted for oversized wraparound Gucci GG2274S in black from the Primavera collection.

Wardrobe changes during fashion week are compulsory — but sunglasses changes? We approve. Caro Daur first wore black Gucci GG2172S 002 aviators from the Spring/Summer 2026 collection with monogrammed flash mirror lenses.

Caro Daur later switched to Gucci GG2059S 001 oval sunglasses featuring the house’s iconic bamboo detailing.

Donatella Versace arrived in Gucci GG2176S 001 sunglasses, a new drop from Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

Alton Mason wore Gucci GG2168S 006 sunglasses with Gucci Crest detailing — a key seasonal motif paying homage to the brand’s luxury trunk heritage.

Last but definitely not least, Luka Sabbat and Demi Moore stepped out in a new style shields (Nettspend's was fresh from the runway), still under wraps and arriving at Pretavoir this Autumn.

Spring/Summer 2026

There was no show, but a premiere of the star-studded film The Tiger took place instead — featuring Demi Moore, Edward Norton, Elliot Page, Keke Palmer and more. During the film’s official screening we spotted:

Model Alex Consani, who also starred in the short film, wearing the new Gucci GG2176S 001 sunglasses from Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

Influencer Carodaur and American model Amelia Gray Hamlin twinned in dramatic Gucci GG1654S 010 aviators with detachable chains, fresh from our September drop and tipped to be next season’s must-have (kudos, Demna).
