“Nothing is too beautiful; nothing is too expensive.” Ettore Bugatti
The Bugatti eyewear line was launched in 2005. Following the same orientation as all other Bugatti products, this collection represents luxury, quality and originality.
Italian designed, each Bugatti frame is completely manufactured in the Jura region, the cradle of French eyewear, and thus becomes a work of art in itself.
The materials used to manufacture each model offer outstanding quality:
* Nibrodal: cut metal (weldless)
* Friction-welded cellulose acetate (cotton-based plastic)
* Zebu born (The zebu – the emblematic animal of Madagascar- has immense horns that offer an unusual, very fine material. Once treated and polished, it gives off dull and constantly different polychromatic lusters in a wide variety of blacks, greys, ambers and ochers.) Zebu horn is purchased at the slaughterhouses, because the animal’s meat is consumed in African countries.
* Mozambique rosewood, Mozambique ebony, Brazilian letterwood
The metal frames receive a strengthening surface treatment ranging from palladium to 22 carat gold. Each frame is stamped to warrant its authenticity. A serial number also confirms each Bugatti frame.
In addition to its refined materials, the Bugatti line is also a collection for demanding men. Because of its quality and design, the “Bugattista” will find an amalgam of original lines in his frame. The shape of the grille of a Bugatti car will inspire the base of the eyewear or its circular shape.
From the front of the frame to the endpieces, each Bugatti frame component is hand finished. For example, cellulose acetate endpieces will be polished manually to give them the desired luster and luxurious look.
Their shape will evoke the side of the car, with all the roundness and elegance that the Bugatti company built into its cars.
To make the frames even more high tech, Bugatti was the first eyewear manufacturer to integrate an electronic chip. This innovation allows Bugatti wearers to obtain information on their prescriptions and frames from their glasses. Customers can now travel in total peace of mind. If their glasses break, they only have to find an optician carrying Bugatti products who can read the electronic chip and retrieve the frame repair info.
Bugatti frames represent the sign of elegance, masculinity and luxury.
