Alain Miklitarian launched his own brand-name "Alain Mikli" in 1978. A French journalist, wrote that "as far as spectacles are concerned, there is before and since Mikli" (Figaroscope). Before Alain Mikli, people wore visual appliances; since Alain Mikli there are "frames to see as well as to be seen".

Alain Mikli, who is myopic himself, has indeed invented a new philosophy for spectacles. For the greater joy and pleasure of wearers of glasses, who no longer need to suffer wearing them as a penance. He dressed the eyes of the top stars, including Elton John, Jack Nicholson and Dalida, and this put Alain Mikli's creations on the front page of magazines.

IN THE 1990s He became world famous, and major artists came to him for special projects: Bono, the singer in the group U2, launched Alain Mikli into developing "miklivision". This is a cross between a camera and spectacles allowing hands-free filming with all the emotion of a cameraman, it permit to forget the camera and to obtain a more intimist film.

After developing camera spectacles, the "biolink" hinge and folding spectacles, this great visionary still has plenty of new ideas in mind - for the greater pleasure of his clients.
